Before you can be scheduled for the on-line test, you must complete both of the following steps. After you have completed these two steps, you will receive a unique test code for the online Multiple-Choice Test within one week.

LAPD candidates are required to wear Business Attire during all test parts and meetings with Recruitment and Employment Division unless otherwise instructed.
The Physical Fitness Qualifier (PFQ) takes place during the first 7 calendar days of each month. Please self-schedule on your myPD candidate portal or contact a Recruitment Officer at 213-473-3450 for scheduling assistance. Candidate Advancement Program registration is unavailable during the first 7 calendar days of each month, as it is reserved for PFQ appointments. Candidates are encouraged to take the PFQ every month to see improvement and work on building a better score.

New Early Morning One Hour CAP Session Launches Every Wednesday Morning at Elysian Park!!The first session will be held Wednesday, June 5th.
CAP will start at 5:30 AM and finish at 6:30 AM.

NOTE: Park your vehicle on the street in front of the academy (not in the parking lot).
What to bring: Water, CAP uniform (shirts, shorts, sweatshirt, and sweat pants), and a yoga mat.
NOTE: First time CAP attendees may come in standard workout attire.
