LAPD'S WOMEN ON THE JOB

Police Officer Saudia Faulkner

Every story has to start somewhere, and mine started at this fourplex. It’s the place where I lived with my sister after our mother died. It’s where I spent weekends outside until the streetlights came on. It’s the home I left when I went to college, and it was my safe haven when college didn’t work out. It’s the address I gave when I first applied for LAPD…and the same address I gave when I had to apply for a second time. It’s where I learned to never let the first answer be the final answer. This is where my LAPD story began… What will yours be and where will it take you?

"It’s where I learned to never let the first answer be the final answer. This is where my LAPD story began…"
